Associação Portuguesa de Mecânica Teórica, Aplicada e Computacional

APMTAC is constituted by a group of researchers, that develop there work in the scientific domain of the theoretical, applied and computational mechanics.

In its regular activity, APMTAC promotes several events for divulgation and scientific interchange, stimulating the area of education and research in mechanics.

IACM O.C. Zienkiewicz Award

was awarded to

Professor Carlos Mota Soares

The "IACM P.O. Zienkiewicz Award" was awarded to Professor Carlos Mota Soares, by the IACM-International Association for Computational Mechanics. This distinction rightly crowns a brilliant career dedicated to Computational Mechanics and much honours the Portuguese community in this scientific area and in particular the APMTAC.

The prize will be awarded at the opening session of the next "World Congress on Computational Mechanics" to be held in Seoul (South Korea) on 25 July 2016.
