To reach LNEC take the Underground to ALVALADE (click to see the network diagram). At Alvalade go through the automatic gates and after passing the ticket machines turn twice on your right side, into a tunnel leading to Praça de Alvalade. When you exit the tunnel turn left into Avenida da Igreja.

Go up Av.Igreja to Av.Rio de Janeiro. Turn left and walk straight to the end of the street where you will be facing Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil (click to view the façade). The total walking time should be about 15 minutes, at a leasured pace (see the map below).
